What the fuck is wrong with the state I live in. This is another example of how insane this shit is. My dad had the right idea, retire and move to Florida, don’t worry dad I’m right behind you!!!

Here is the story link for those who like to read and for those that don’t I’ll sum it up for you. Basically this teacher in Taunton MA asked a second grade class to draw the first thing that comes to mind when they think of Christmas. So (after the student and his family went on a family trip to see the Christmas display at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, a Christian retreat site in Attleboro, MA.) made the above picture. Now I’ll admit it would be better suited for Easter but fuck the kid is 8 years old. I’m a Jew and one of the first things I think of when I hear about Christmas is ham and then Jesus is a close second. If asked to draw something Christmas like I’d prob draw baby Jesus or a tree or some shit. But somewhere Jesus or a star (same thing) would be there somewhere I can guarantee.

The worst part of this story is the school required an evaluation of the student before he could return to the school:

Superintendent Julie Hackett said district policy prevents her from discussing a “confidential matter regarding a student.” “Generally speaking, we have safety protocols in place,” Hackett said. “If a situation warrants it, we ask for outside safety evaluations if we have particular concerns about a child’s safety. We followed all the protocols in our system.”

WHAT?!?!?!? Are we looking at the same picture?!?!?! Ya know what my son has a picture his friend made for him that is so fuckin disturbing it puts this to shame and nothing was done about that? Its a picture of an overturned car crashed into another car with a stick figure with his hands up and a cop pointing a gun at him. No lie that’s 100% true and tomorrow when I pick him up for the weekend I’ll snap a quick pic of it and update this post. So how does this picture warrant such a reaction? Oh yeah one more thing, the kid is a special needs child (which probably explains the confusion between Jesus’ birth on Xmas and death on Easter, but whatever). So basically this kid was suspended and order to have a psych evaluation before he could return for drawing this picture. You know what is more disturbing then this… Think about all the people who need evaluations because I heard rumors that some people have life like statues of a dead guy nailed to some boards bleeding from the side and head, also on his head a torturous device poking into his skull, feet nailed together and hands nailed to said board and having that hanging over their beds….. Oh wait

See the above picture was given to my son last year by one of his friends. Now you tell me which picture is more disturbing? Jesus on the cross when asked to draw something that reminds you of Christmas or this little psychos picture which he did all on his own and thought it would be something good to share?? I’m going to have to go with the car crash picture. Know what happened to the kid who made this picture…. Nothing, not a fuckin’ thing. You know why?? Because not everything a little kid does is going to lead to a Columbine. Hell I use to draw tanks blowing up my town, rockets and airplanes dog fighting, Superheroes fighting bad guys destroying a city and look at me and how I turned out….. Don’t answer that. Point being is just because I sketched pictures didn’t mean I wanted my school to blow up or indoctrinate anyone in to anything. Just meant I had a vivid imagination and thank god no one stifled it. No one took my creativity and shit on it. Maybe if we stop telling kids they will win everything and everything they have to do has to conform with the norm, and that everything little thing they do is “wrong” and they need help because if they think a certain way then they must have “issues” they might be less likely to snap the fuck out and go off the deep end. Fuck I know if everyone reading my posts annalysed everything I write and punished me for every little thing I’d snap the hell out. Let them be kids and explore their imagination and for fucks sake stop freaking out at the littlest things.
