SAY BLAME ONE MORE TIME!!!

I’m not even going to get in to the fact that an innocent child was gunned down (and yes that story is FUCKED UP and it was WRONG what happened), the 2nd Amendment, black vs white or any of that stuff. This was a fuckin’ great and powerful video…. UNTIL the “put down the guns” tagline at the end. Sorry but to me it looks like someone is “blaming” something. You had me till the screen cut to that. Personal responsibility! I’ve been bitching and moaning about personal responsibility on this damn site for YEARS. Fuckin’ A!! You tell em Sam! But it’s an awesome statement ruined by an anti-gun agenda/statement at the end. Many people over the internets have been saying that “you’re missing the point this isn’t an anti-gun video”. Yeah, well again you had me up until that tagline. If it’s not about putting down the gun why not end it with a tagline “Break the cycle”, “blame anyone but yourself”, “blame yourself” “be responsible” “don’t drink and drive” or some other catchy bullshit. Sorry but I’m just not buying there is “no anti-gun agenda to this video and I’m a moron for thinking there is an undertone to this”.

As stated on the Jesse Ventura Facebook page (which is where I checked the video out for the first time) old Jesse says: “I cannot believe I have to explain this but the video of Sam Jackson is not about stripping the second amendment it’s about taking responsibility for your actions and stopping violence. Sometimes words are not meant to be taken literally. Pay attention in English class kids.”. Well smartass I did pay attention in English class, but also paid attention in reading class as well and what I read at the end of that video said “PUT DOWN THE GUNS”. NOT “STOP THE VIOLENCE” or as I said “break the cycle” (which I think would have been a bad ass tagline to end that video and cause a shit ton less controversy but than again it wouldn’t have so many hits now would it?). So blow me you juiced up hack.

And please coming from someone who makes his money waving big guys around and cleaning up after Marvin gets shot in the face I find to be a little hypocritical.

Lets see:
Snakes on a Plane: GUN
Pulp Fiction: GUN
Kill Bill: GUN
Captain America/Hulk/Iron Man/Thor/etc as Nick Fury: GUN
xXx: GUN
Jumper: GUN
Shaft: GUN
Jackie Brown: You were on the mother fuckin’ poster holding a mother fuckin’ GUN
Die Hard: GUN
Kiss of Death: GUN
True Romance: GUN
Juice: GUN
The Negotiator: GUN

So Sam, you want us to “put down the guns”? Well maybe you should stop glorifying their use in movies, making it cool and making MILLIONS doing it…… Now look at the big brain on Aaron ;)

Growing up in a crack house in Winter Hill in Somerville Ma. ( Home of the Winter Hill Gang and Howie Winter and Whitey Bulger) without a father, this video PISSES ME OFF! People try to blame their personal choices on other things. I saw a lot of shit growing up and I knew IT WAS WRONG! Everyone has a fundamental sense of right and wrong weather they acknowledge it or not. “I robbed that liquor store and shot the clerk because my mother was out all night doing drugs when I was a kid.” Or “I carjacked that woman and killed her because my Dad wasn’t at any of my Birthday parties.” Sounds fucking stupid to me. I got into some trouble when I was younger but never blamed anyone but me. My one brush with the law I plead guilty, wanna know why ? Because I DID IT. No one else. Just me. Put aside the actors and musicians that glorify guns and violence. If you can’t tell a song is just a song and not a CALL TO ARMS or that a movie is MAKE BELIEVE then you and only you are the one with the problem. Guns have nothing to do with it. If you take away all the guns there are knives. If you take away the knives there are baseball bats. If you take away all the baseball bats there are rocks. As long as ignorance and blame are are still in abundance there will always be violence no matter what the weapon of
    choice is.

P.S. I live in a little house with a pool in the Suburbs, have a beautiful wife and three smart, handsome boys, and I have a good job and better life, even though my mother did stay out all night doing drugs and my father missed all my birthdays ;)

Probably a little cliche, but guns are not the problem. If they were, then pencils misssspel words and spoons made Rosie O’Donnell fat. As soon as lawmakers start punishing those who commit crimes with guns with the weapons charges we already have on the books, and stop throwing college kids in prison for a half ounce of weeded will all be better off. ;)
