11/22/63
by Stephen King
A masterpiece not to be missed. Only King can write a 866 page book that holds the readers attention for the entire time. With his in-depth character study and plot development , this unique book should be one everyones read list. The unforgettable journey that King takes the reader on is truly a work of art.11/22/63 has all the elements (tragedy, romance, suspense, comedy, etc) that any reader will enjoy from cover to cover. Not only is this book on the top of my Stephen King list, its on the top of my best book list as well.
‘ Set the way back machine,Sherman.’ Time travel is the central theme – time travel with a purpose. To stop the assassination of JFK on that day in 1963. Add to that premise the ramifications of changing history and a great book is born.Leave it to King to send our hero,Jake, back in time 5 years prior to 1963.Besides all the planning to try and stop the killing,Jake sets himself up to become a resident of the times. The interaction amongst the ‘locals’ and Jake keep the book fast paced. King brings the past to us. The reader is transposed back in time and feels connected to it. Lots of plot twists and unforeseen events happen with every passing day as Jake gets closer to 11/22/63.
As usual in a King novel, the reader is treated to a well thought out adventure with each and every character and scene explained perfectly.11/22/63 is a gritty/fun/sad/intense thriller that should be on your summer book list.

Thanks for the review! I can see I’ll have to get this one.
