I’m thinking of trying something new. I know right? From a guy who bashes his readers he now wants to thank them? WTF is going on here? I don’t even know who i am anymore….
So I would like to do a “Fan of the Week” but since there aren’t enough of us yet this will be monthly. “WinkyFace Fan of the Month”. I figure that without all you who actually actively read, re-post, tweet, FB share and comment here that this place would be another interweb ghost town and I would just be another moron online talking to himself. But since we are all a bunch of cynical douchebags and have the same sense of humor I actually have people to talk at.
Ok you’re probably asking “really dude? who gives a fuck, what are you going to do just post a thanks and maybe a picture or some shit” well, yeah kinda. But since I’m starting to get some hits and a little token ad revenue I was thinking that maybe the fan of the month can get a free tshirt or some shit like that. Before you get all excited I’ve only had the ads up for a few days and I still am just trying to cover hosting costs, domain registration costs and shit like that because right now all that comes out of pocket. Eventually I’m hoping that it starts to get enough to customize the site some, buy some real plug-ins, support a newsletter and even pay some freelance blog writers etc.. Hey we can all dream right?
To start maybe it’ll just be a picture (if ya want) and a little blurb from you on anything you want. Can be a why you like the site, why you hate the site, what’s your story, or just me giving you a public thanks for the support (and of course calling you a moron a few times in the post).
Now here is what you have to do for me. Comment below and let me know what you think. Do you really give a fuck or is this a stupid idea? I’ll tell you right now that the first official fan of the site who wins WILL GET A FREE tshirt! We may run a little contest like I’ll look at Twitter, Facebook, and the comments here and put all the names in a hat and pick one, write em all on a list and use a random number generator , I may just see who is the most active and pick them or better yet pick the hot single chick because I want to impress her with a free shirt.
What I’m thinking about for the first fan of the site winner is that I will not tell anyone but them, send them the shirt, once they get the shirt they snap a photo wearing the WinkyFace t-shirt and we can post that up for the “Fan of the Month” post.
I’ll see if you morons even respond to this or not and go from there.

So it’s 2012 and our first Fan Appreciation Contest is underway! Start trolling the site, sending in suggestions, writing comments, tweeting/re-tweeting and getting the word out there! Lesson one:
If you are a douche and really don’t care about the shit that comes out of my brain this was a long way down to actually post how much you don’t care. But since you read the post and decided to comment I guess that you actually do care some. So thanks for caring. Really, is there anything funnier then someone who reads a post, weeds through the comments, enters their information and types out a comment just to prove how much they don’t care? No there really isn’t. To me it really seems like a lot of work for something you really don’t care about.
Lesson two:
To really be a douche it’s probably better to get some facts first and know your battle. You are judging me by this single post or have you read anything else? See if you actually took the time to maybe read more then this random post you might have leaned something about me. One being I never said my thoughts and opinions have meaning. For that matter hardly any of them have a point, Most of my thoughts are uninformed, uneducated and nothing more then the ramblings of another moronic douche with a blog. Most of the shit I bitch and complain about I am just as guilty of doing myself. I am a huge fuckin’ hypocrite and never clammed I wasn’t. Another thing is I really don’t care if the world hears about my thoughts or opinions or not. See, this site has been live for about two and half years now. Some months I get thousands of hits a day and some I’m lucky if I break single digits. I’m not here for glory, fame to have the world listen to me or money. I write because I want to and sometimes I got nothing better to do. The world is full of morons and enjoy calling em out. That’s what a douche does, all the while knowing he is the biggest douche of them all.
Lesson three:
Now this one will be easy to follow, if you really don’t care then don’t come back. Walk away. Find another blog, as you said, the internet is full of sites like this right. Find one you relate to better. The internet is a big place and just as quickly as you come and go someone is right behind you to replace you. If not see lesson two. It really doesn’t matter if this gets read or not. Happens all the time. See I look at a comment like this more trollish then being a douche. I’m sure you are trying on your little douche hat, puffing up your internet chest and trying to work on your little comedy bit to see if you can get a rise out of a random blog owner. Not going to happen.
Lesson four:
I have ADHD. Meaning that I can hyper focus on a useless post like this for hours and write every random thought that comes to my head for hours, days and sometimes even weeks on end. I will shut down the computer tonight but my mind will be racing thinking of more shit to say and probably update the comment, add another couple and probably just wear you out just by shear boredom. Though this reply probably already bored you to death and who knows you may never come back to even read it. Or like most of the time since I have ADHD another shiny spoon will come along and catch my attention and I’ll never pay this another thought. Now if you are thinking “Well Aaron at the end of lesson three you said “if you can get a rise out of a blog owner” it sure sounds like that’s getting a rise out you” That’s where you would be wrong. Another advantage of having extreme ADHD is that right now I’m doing this while watching a movie, txting a friend and vaping on my e-cig. There is no flame war, heated emotion or feelings behind what I am writing right now. This is just me killing time because I’ll probably be up till 4am again begging for something to do to keep my brain occupied. Believe it or not this is my therapy. This is my time to relax, reflect on life, realize the world is full of morons and that only a douche would have nothing better to do then sit here at 1am typing this shit out.
Lesson five:
This will be your final lesson of the day…… It’s my site. You can’t win. See just by coming here I’ve already won. I get paid from hits, so every time you come back here and write, what you fail to see is that I’m getting paid. Happens on every blog out there. Why do you think the big blogs hardly monitor flame wars in the comment section. Flame wars cause drama, drama causes people to comment, comments, views and hits means money. So basically you can be a douche all you want but you will be a douche that in a indirect way is helping to keep the site running for me. Now even if the money wasn’t a factor, well because it isn’t because this site costs me a LOT more then what I even come close to in ad revenue…. Repeat after me….. It’s…. my….. site….. I’m not going anywhere. This site is up for the long haul. If it ends up being just for me, my friends and my family so be it. So you are basically trying to out douche a douche on his own site when in fact nothing you say or do will change the outcome of the site. Oh shit…. Wait a min… Maybe you are a bigger douche then.

The pointless act of going through all that effort to show someone you don’t care is something a hipster would do.
